Ampol CEO Matt Halliday says the company will continue to play a “very significant role” in the future of energy for transport.
Mr Halliday said that while the current business of oil, fuel and gas is “critically important in a whole host of ways” the company will start to focus on future solutions of hydrogen and electricity.
“We’re not an extractor of oil as a company, we’re very much a distributor of energy,” Mr Halliday told Sky News host Ross Greenwood.
“Ensuring that we provide those future mobility solutions for our customers is really important.
“I think whichever way we look there’ll be different solutions for different customers, it’s important to trial and experiment in some of those areas.”
