More venues in the Illawarra have received notification from NSW Health that they have been visited by someone with COVID-19.

The 7-Eleven store at Dapto underwent deep cleaning yesterday after a person who tested positive to the virus visited at the weekend.

The person attended the store at 5pm on Saturday.

They signed in using a QR code and a subsequent review of CCTV footage confirmed they were in the store for a short period of time, to pay for fuel.

Nowhere in the Illawarra has been added to NSW Health’s list of venues of concern, but this only occurs when it is deemed there is a risk to public health.

Meanwhile, a Dapto GP clinic has ceased in-person appointments as a precaution following the news another practice in the area has become a COVID-19 exposure site.

Dapto Healthcare yesterday notified patients it was conducting telephone consults only until further notice.
